About this experience

You will put on the traditional samurai outfit and wield a katana just like a real samurai. This is the only samurai sword experience in Tokyo where you would feel like a real samurai and have a real hands on sword experience different from some simple costume play. Many people come to Japan to learn about the history of samurai and fulfill their childhood dream of being a samurai and this is it.    Samurai Sword Experience in Tokyo (Family & Kid-Friendly): Become a samurai for a day at the Samurai Ninja Museum Asakusa: change into hakama, learn katana forms from a Samurai Master. Change into Hakama Suit up in authentic samurai attire — hakama (traditional samurai pants) and a kimono-style top — and enter the dojo as a samurai-in-training. Learn the Forms Your Samurai Master teaches you grip, posture, drawing the sword, and the traditional kata — a flowing sequence of precise sword movements. Strike the Samurai Target Face our new life-size, samurai-shaped striking dummy and deliver real, full-power strikes — head, torso, and diagonal cuts.
