About this experience

Step into a real Japanese apartment in Osaka and cook in the kitchen and dining room of a local host's home. Learn how to make authentic Japanese home-style dishes from a host who was born and raised in Osaka. With a maximum of just four guests, this intimate small-group experience provides a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of personal guidance throughout the class. As a certified Japanese language teacher, I'm happy to share useful Japanese phrases and answer any questions you have about life and culture in Japan.

Itinerary

1. Stop 1

   Duration: 120 min

   To start the experience, you will be offered a welcome drink. After a brief introduction, your host will guide you step by step as you prepare popular Japanese home dishes, including Karaage (Japanese fried chicken), Gyoza, and Onigiri. You can also choose Japanese beer or a highball. Throughout the experience, you will have the opportunity to learn about Japanese culture, daily life, and local customs through conversation with your host. Once the dishes are ready, everyone will sit down together to enjoy the meal. Come visit a Japanese home, cook together, chat, and enjoy authentic Japanese home-style food just like friends do. ※Smoking is not permitted inside the host's home. Pets are not allowed.
