This tour covers every part of the bamboo forest. By rickshaw and on foot! The first stop after cruising through the bustling main street is the bamboo forest. Enjoy the vivid green bamboo as your guide pulls you along the path reserved for rickshaws only, away from other visitors. Have your camera or mobile phone ready to take pictures. You don’t want to miss this. After passing by the Nonomiya Shrine you will enter the second part of the bamboo forest, which is designed like a little park. Here we can take great group pictures with the stunning green bamboo in the background. On the way to the third and last section of the bamboo forest, you will pass by a well-kept scene from the Edo period The third part of the bamboo forest can only be accessed on foot, so your guide will park the rickshaw within walking distance and then guide you to the most famous and impressive part of the bamboo forest. (To avoid the crowds here, we recommend starting the tour before noon)

   Get off the rickshaw and walk to the most famous part of the bamboo forest which can not be accessed by rickshaw. The walk includes going up and down a steep slope.

   Ride through the scenic heart of Arashiyama, taking in views of historic neighborhoods, surrounding mountains, and the vibrant atmosphere of western Kyoto.

   Shinto shrine nestled in the bamboo forest.

   Pass through the bamboo grove for great pictures

5. 第 5 站

   Your rickshaw tour operator for the rickshaw tour in Arashiyama. Tour can be customized and choice of attractions possible depend on tour duration selected.

6. 第 6 站

   Cottage of a famous Haiku Poet. This cottage is built in the traditional pastoral style, with a straw thatched roof.

• Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller

• Children of 6 years and older are required to have a seat and will thus pay the same price as an adult.
• While rickshaws are able to fit two adults, each rickshaw is 29.1 inches (74 centimeters) wide, and it is sometimes more comfortable to book individual rickshaws for each passenger. For passengers of size, we recommend booking a rickshaw for each participant to ensure a comfortable ride. Passengers who do not both fit in one rickshaw but wish to participate in a tour at the same time will be required to purchase an additional rickshaw, which may not be available on the date of the tour with an English-speaking guide if not booked in advance. Those customers who do not purchase an additional rickshaw at the time of booking cannot be guaranteed availability.
• Children 5 years and under can ride for free provided that they will sit on the lap of an adult (one child per adult = max 2 adults & 2 children per rickshaw)
• If a child 5 years will be using one of the two seats of the rickshaw, it must book as an adult.
• Infants must be able to hold up their head by themselves.
• The amount of time you will be late will be deducted from your tour duration (delay of 10min or more results in automatic cancellation)
• our tours take place, rain or shine.
• Time changes on the day of the tour can not be accommodated.
• Any time changes/rescheduling requests sent after 5pm the day before your tour can not be accommodated
• finishing locations other than our rickshaw stand may be subject to an additional drop-off fee (payable on the day of the tour)
